I got the email form MacForce today. Didnt know it was a DVXuser speaking! I have never been to any of their events, have you? I just discovered macforce the other week, not too sure what I think about the place as a store yet but definitely was interested in the events and gatherings they hold.

danimal84,

Did you get to go? If you didn't, then I'll tell ya the MacForce event went really well. Several local filmmakers and production companies showed up. I've been to a few of their Filmmaker events. And yeah, everybody at MacForce has been really informative and kind. Good place.

How do you like your Brevis?

-andrew

i didnt make it, got busy and lost track of time. good that it went well, its nice that macforce is offering these events although im not too sure of the place as a retail/support store. im heading to alaska in a couple of weeks and am gone till next fall so i'll try to catch one of there events in the fall.

i really have enjoyed the brevis. I havent used any of the other adapters but from all the research i did by reading comparisons and others tests i ended up choosing it. the big selling points for me for the brevis were its light loss, compact size, not really any vignetting issues except for some wider lenses and now that they have a microcontroller upgrade for fine tuning oscillation speed of the virbrating ground glass, which i dont have yet but will upgrade soon will be nice. and ill get the flip for it as well so its coming together

Dan,

I'll be leading a Final Cut Pro class at MacForce this Thursday, June 5th at 6pm. It's part of their new Night School program which will go on to cover the other Apps in Final Cut Studio 2. Nice! If you know of anyone in need of some FCP recipes, swing em my way!

-Andrew

are you the regular teacher for the final cut class? whats the course itinerary like?
i got a buddy moving here in a couple weeks that would be interested in something like that so ill pass it on to him. also ti anyone else that i can think of

dont think it would be much benefit to me, pretty comfortable with FCP but probably would pick up random tips. still avid is my first stop but i use both and each have their own unique pros/cons

id like to teach a class, actually it would be more of a retreat, for avid and FCP users to just get along and stop the childish bashing. FCP vs. Avid arguments seem to me like when little kids argue over whose dad could beat up the others dad, haha

cool that you are teaching, enjoy it? would you like to do it more? actually i had a discussion the other night with someone over quite an interesting idea that maybe i could get your input on. this conversation would have to move over to a PM or email because its just an idea at the moment but could be very interesting and intriguing, actually it was brought up just last night and ive been so exhausted from pulling some allnighters to complete this short that it hasnt even settled in with me but yeah theres a lot of talk fo ya without much content, haha, contact me privately if youd like to know more, i mean i would just like to get some ideas around this and wouldnt mind even just bouncing some of them off ya or getting an opinion
