DVX200 for dummies..upgrading from DVX 100 setup?

Haven't shot video in 2 years, as I've focused on still photography.

I really want a dedicated 16X9 camera, and DVX200 adj frame rate has me sold- I think. The options change daily, but I love the Panny. For narrative films.
Anyway I have the orig DVX100, 2 sony HR monitors , and a Sony DSR-11. I assume I'll need to sell it all if I go with the 200 and a firestore or other aquisition device. My understanding is SD monitors can't be used with the 200, in any way.... and guess I'd be archiving to HD instead of tape.

So OK - I meant the HVX-200

You can use your SD monitor with the hvx. I've used a 7" panasonic monitor flipped upside down as a reference monitor with the 200 and a 35mm adapter. But only as reference. Don't rely on the SD monitor for fine focus.

You gotta understand the significance the letters H and D have on these forums. The number of times forum members have waxed eloquent upon the features, benifits, color, contrast, form, function, and even personality of these cameras, the DVX and HVX respectively, surely numbers in the thousands. You call their babies (I don't own one yet) by the wrong name, naturally there's a small backlash. It's reflex. Let it lie, sir.
