Ok, so I have a DVX, Macbook pro 17", and an 250G external G-drive. I have zero experience with DV Rack and I know about the "DV Rack app for mac" thread. I have done some research, but am a little overwhelmed with it all.
Can some of you good folks fill me in on the potential advantages in using the Macbook pro on set and also what programs I would need to do so. I have read some about Bootcamp, but it seems that it is in the Beta phase and is preview software licensed for use on a trial basis.
So would I use Bootcamp to install windows on my mac and then run DV Rack... and then pull those files into Final Cut later? Seems like a rough workflow.
Anyway, any info, leads, advice, etc would be great.
