DVX100a Service Location

I need extensive repair work done to my camera. I live in Los Angeles and seek a reliable service facility. There's one location named "Video Clinic" in Santa Monica. I'm a little apprehensive about using them due to the fact that they are
a "VCR/TV" repair facility if you know what I mean. Am I being too critical?

For those of you who are interested, I tried to take off a
Century Optics wide angle lens adapter off my camera and
tore off the front end of my camera in the process. Ugggh!

I may just sell it as a loding deck. It still works just fine, accept for the lack of manual focusing.
