DVX100a screen flip hack?

I've heard about hacks for the DVX100b to flip the screen on the LCD monitor...does anyone know if you can do this on the DVX100a?

you can use a magnet with the 100a. search forr it find a few threads.

Just tape a small, powerful magnet right under the hinge on the right side of the LCD.

has anyone had any issues with doing this? i'd like to try it, but i'm pretty nervous about sticking a magnet to my DVX...

I did this for 2 weeks strait with a dvx. No problems at all.

Just put that magnet where people say to put it, your screen will flip right before your eyes.

will having a magnet so close to the tapes not damage the minidv tape though?

No, your tape is located on the opposite side of the lcd panel...far away from any magnetic interference.
