DVX100A or B

What would you guys go for ... a new DVX100B or a lightly used DVX100A?

I can get the DVX100A (which I'm leaning towards) for about $900 less than the new DVX100B. Can anyone tell me if the new features on the B would justify this price difference.

Just lookin for opinions. Thanks.

Get the A model if it's in good shape. For $900, it's not worth the upgrade. Just imagine all the extra stuff you can buy with that $900.

$900? That's a lot of change. I like the 100B a LOT, and I think it's usually going to be the better choice, but $900 is a huge difference. Assuming the "A" is in good shape, that's probably the better buy.

The main thing that interests me is the new signal-to-noise ratio of the B. How much cleaner is the DVX100B in lowlight as opposed to the 100A Barry?

So otherwise from that, would you say the output image quality between the 2 cameras are just about the same? If so, this upgrade looks more to be upgrades on user functionality (which is not a bad thing of course).

Look at it this way, it's called the "DVX100B", not the DVX101.

It's an incremental upgrade, for lack of a better description, over the DVX100A.

Save yourself the $900. Go for the 100A.

The upgrades are almost entirely in the realm of user functionality, yes. The image is only slightly different, being somewhat lower in noise. Overall it makes for a very attractive package, but again -- $900 better? That's a question only you could answer, but if I was answering it I'd probably answer the same as Pookie.
