Hey DVX folks,
I am looking for someone to help me out. I shot a short film recently using a DVX100A borrowed from a friend of mine. Out of the nine tapes I shot - one of them somehow was recorded in LP mode - don't ask me how, I must have switched it without noticing - I didn't even know that the dvx had an LP record mode.
Anyway, my friend has lent out his camera again - and now the director of the film is trying to edit - but we cant capture the LP tape without a DVX100A... since all cameras record LP at slightly different speeds. (I tried capturing with my deck, as well as my JVC HD100.. needless to say, neither worked)
I am hoping there is someone in NY who could make their DVX100A available to me to capture 1 tape. I would be happy to bring an external hard drive where you are and capture the tape - I wouldn't be logging clips or any doing any fast forward or rewinding - simply playing back 1 tape all the way through for 63 minutes, as it captured onto my hard drive.
Ideally we could work something out where we would barter services. I own and shoot with the JVC GY-HD100, and edit on FCP5.1 in Brooklyn, and would be happy help you in any reasonable way, in exchange for capturing this one LP tape on your DVX100A.
