DVX100A crashes my FCP 5

I am totally new to macs. When I <log> everything is fine when I go to <capture> it keeps trying to access the tape on DVX100a bu nothing is happening. Its stuck in the loop. I have to kill the FCP. Anyone had similar issues?

What kind of Mac are you using? G5(1.7, Dual)? iMac? How are you capturing the files? Take a look at your settings.

Are you trying to capture footage at the begaining of the tape?

I use G5. When I am finished logging and ready to capture - do I have to fast forward a bit or something?

Highlight what youve captured in the browser right (ctrl) click and go to BATCH CAPTURE.
