DVX100 widescreen cropped (Help!!)

Hey, this is my first time here so sorry if this is a newbie question.

I'm digitizing dvx100 footage that has been shot in widescreen mode in an Final Cut Pro system. However once this footage comes in it is cropped!
Yet when I digitize DVX100A footage shot in 16:9 it comes in the right way.

Anyone have an idea what's happening here?

Most probably your sequence is set for 4x3 instead of anamorphic. Click under settings and see if the anamorphic box is checked. If it ain't, check it and redrop your 16x9 clip in, it should then be the right ratio.
