DVX100 & SDX900 shoot.....

I've got a possible shoot coming up that may require a combined usage of the DVX and the SDX. Does anyone have any advice on using these two cams on a shoot? The SDX for a stage performance and the DVX for interviews and roving. The DVX will have the anamorphic lens and the SDX will be used native 16.9. I'm wondering as to compatibility?

Noah Kadner over at 2-pop would be a good one to ask -- he's got extensive experience with both cameras.

As I read on the net, the SDX has a preset to mach with the DVX that seems to work. Check it's manuals.

If you are not using them together they don't have to look perfect. But before you shoot plug both into a monitor and make sure they are adjusted so they look similar.

Thanks guys, Noah does have a lot of experience with the cams - I'll ask him for some advice. taubkin didn't know about the preset match!!! I'll check that out as well. The shoot is not in the bag yet; will let you know how it goes.

I'd be interested in how you combine the two. I've used both cams recently, (i own a dvx100a, and have worked with sdx900 for commercial shoots) and they're so vastly different in picture quality...the dvx being a wonderful indy camera and the sdx being a really amazing camera period. Post something of the finished results when and if you are able.

I saw a scene file for the SDX900 that matches the DVX somewhere. If you search the net you will find the downloads page. You will be able to download the scene file that matches the DVX
