DVX100 on MTV

[Shane Realm]

I was watching MTV's Wildboyz last night and they showed a shot where a Cobra Snake (or some type of snake) attacked the foxtail on a camera mic, the showed the camera man and lookie lookie they're filming with a dvx100! nice.

Re: DVX100 on MTV

I have seen either the actual camera in various tv shows or have noticed the footage. What I have also have noticed in some of the shows I have seen the camera is it didn't look like no one went into the menus and changed the scene file settings around. I saw the camera on a show on ABC called "The Ultimate Love Test" It was on back in the Spring I think. It had the film look but some of the shots had a washed out look. I dont know if they deliberately wanted that look. But it made it look almost Hi-8ish or SVHS. They should have a consultant familiar with the DVX100(A) on these sets or off set to properly set the menus for these cameras since the DP is most likely concentrating on the main camera of choice.
