Hi,
I am very confuse with all the setting in Premiere Pro with the RT.x2.
I don't know if someone will be able to help me.
I use a DVX100 with a FS-4 Pro and the editing is done on Premiere Pro CS3 with a RT.x2.
When I was using the RT.x100, I add no problem. I use to shoot in NTSC 29,97 and use the setting NTSC->DV->29,97 in Premiere Pro.
Now in Premiere PRO CS3 and with the RT.x2 we have a lot more project setting.
- Matrox SD->486p->Standard->23,98fps->DV
- Matrox SD->486p->Standard->29,97fps->DV
- Matrox SD->NTSC->Standard->DV
I understand that if I continue to record in NSTC 29,97 I will use the NTSC->Standard->DV project setting.
But, because my videos goes on the internet I want to shoot progressive and edit in progressive...
1- If I put my DVX100 in 30p and record in AVI Type 2 with the FS-4 Pro. The footage will be record in 29,97fps. So, is it ok to use the 486p->Standard->29,97fps->DV setting ? And for the final export, should I use 29,97fps or 30, progressive or interlace ?
2- If I put my DVX100 in 24p and record in AVI Type 2 with the FS-4 Pro. The footage will be record in 29,97fps (I think). So, which setting I have to choose, 486p->Standard->29,97fps->DV or 486p->Standard->23,97fps->DV ? And for the final export, I choose 24fps or 29,97 interlace ? I made some test with those two project setting by I have lot of scan lines... I shoot in 24p... where those scan line come from ? I tried to use the AVI Type 2 24p setting of the FS-4 pro but I get much more scan lines... AVI Type 2 24p is only for 24pa.
3- If I put my DVX100 in 24pa, I record in AVI type 2 24p on the FS-4 Pro. the setting 486p->Standard->23,97fps->DV seems to work well.
---
I want to know if someone have some answer...
Personally, I will use the 30p setting of the camera. So the question 1 is the most important to me...
Thanks a lot.
