DVX100 battery/ AC adapter question

My original and 2 DVX 5600 mah batteries are all getting near their EOL. I do a lot of arena shooting where the camera is fixed however, so an AC adapter would be perfect but I can't seem to figure out what's needed to get the DVX running off AC. Also I noticed the DVX batteries are "offline" since 3-09, what's a good alternative?

Do I just need this DC cable to use with the OEM charger?

There should be an adaptor that came with your charger. It plugs into the battery charger and has a "battery looking" adaptor the slides into the battery slot. Plug in the charger into the wall and voila. I have also purchased a 12 volt adaptor from Adorama that has a cigerette ligher plug on the end for use with car power or off of a 12 volt converter.

Thanks for the reply. I bought the DVX100B in 06 brand new, and it definitely didn't come with an AC adapter. I've looked in the manual and seen the alleged battery plate thing, but can't seem to find any info on them online, even using the part numbers. I've ordered a D/C cable for 40 bucks (which is retarded but what can a person do) which supposedly connects between the charger and the socket in the battery bay on the camera. There's also a post on the Cow about this same thing without any hard info.

Eric, the AC adapter is the same thing as the battery charger. It has some electrical circuits inside producing 7.2V to power the camera, or charge the batteries (not at the same time). The other thingy Gary is refering to is a cable connecting your camera to the adapter. It has a dummy battery on one end to go in the battery slot. If you lost that cable, we make a replacement which looks a little different, but does the same job.

Thank you both. It looks like I got the same cable, just paid double for it. Ah well. The pisser is I had visited the Dolgin site in my searching but somehow missed that particular page.
