DVX100 As Capture Doesn't Work...so what does?

It's not compatable nor will it read a DVX100 to upload footage into FCP so what can I do to upload? Do I have to buy a cheap Mini-Dv camera to upload the footage? Will it lose quality? Mostly it's just video and not sound, so will there will any issues with the quality of the video?

Do not have money for an exporting deck.

So do cheap Mini-Dv Camera's work?
 
There is no difference if you capture it from another device, in fact you should not be using your DVX for capture as it will wear down the heads, in the end buying just a cheap mini dv camera will save you the money and hassle of having to replace the heads on your DVX any camera will do, it doesn't matter what you capture on but what you film on, quality will stay intact.
