DVX & XL1S

Hi - Was looking for some input. I have two Canon XL1s'.
I'm thinking of adding, not migrating to, a DVX. My reasoning
would obviously three camera shoots by staying out of 24p,
or say adding a different look to part of a wedding, and having
24p for stand alone projects. Is this foolish? Would editing/rendering be a problem? Thanks!

Re: DVX & XL1S

You cannot go wrong with a DVX in your arsenal.

The DVC80 doesn't have 24p or cinegamma.

Editing is no problem -- 24p footage is telecined and you can edit it on a 60i timeline. You can also shoot in 60i directly if you like, or 30p. The looks will be different, but this is a bonus, not a detriment -- it adds to the creative options. And there are *plenty* of options.
