I've thought about that several times. When it comes down to it, I'd rather walk to work than go back to my consumer equipment.

That's why I love this site.
My wife knew I was serious about needing the DVX when she saw I was getting my comics appraised. Then the sweet thing bought it for me for our anniversary with some of the money she got when her Mom and Dad died.

..i could care less about my car as long as it runs. or my cloths as long as they are wearable... or other material stuff. nobodies going to remember anyone for a cool car, or expensive clothes, or faddish material stuff. but make a great film.. and your remembered forever.

Just how much money I don't know, but I've found this to be true. I used the DVX as a tool to advance myself and make a living in film. And it's sort of a sad week for me, it sort of a bittersweet way, I am selling ALL my video gear including my DVX. Out with the old, in with the new.

lol... we should make little stickers that say "my other camera is a DVX" and run around camera stores and put them on Xl2's and Sony cameras he he he..

2 years ago I sold everything I had (except for sentimental junk) and moved overseas. Since then I've only purchased one thing, a DVX100. And I couldn't be happier. Back in the US I had a nice car, high paying job, a deluxe apartment in the sky, and other superficial things. Now I make a whopping $250/mo and ride around on a borrowed moped. I'm poor (even by Thai standards), but I feel more rich than I've ever been. Thank you DVX100 and DVXuser. Most importantly, THANK YOU Citibank - for believing I'm still employed in the states. ...ha ha suckers!!. ;D
