DVX user batteries durability?

Last night I was filming the final scene for my sci-fi movie, and when I locked my camera into the tripod, my DVX User battery snapped off. The larger part with the actual capacitors in it fell to the floor while the smaller plastic plate remained attached to the camera. Luckily I had my AC adapter on hand, but it really sucked to have that happen right in the middle of a shoot. I bought the battery about 6 months ago, so it's possible the new DVXuser batteries are more durrable, but I really just want to know if anyone else has had this happen. I'm thinking that this is just an isolated incident, but I would like to be sure before I buy any more of the new DVX user batteries. Thanks guys, Carleton.

Oops! :) I bought one about a month ago and the same thing happened to me. It actually happened the very first time I was putting the battery in the camera. I pulled my hand away and the battery broke in two. I took it back to EVS and they ordered another for me, no problem.

It looks like there was no glue holding the two pieces together. If you look closely at the two edges on the one I had, no evidence of dried glue. I don't know if these problems are widespread. But I'm picking up two more soon.
