DVX Underwater

Have any of you had any experience using your DVX in or near the water? I’m going to Nicaragua to shoot a surfing documentary and I’m looking for housing that works and wont break the bank. I’ve considered.

I'd look into production insurance that covered owned equipment as well!

The epic cam housing is pretty heavy to begin with.. now add the dvx100a and you have yourself a mobile gym.. Plus the epic housing is just a round acrylic tube so it's very buoyant making it hard to shoot tube shots for surfing and the handles are on the side. Do a search on here for "epic housing" and you should find some of the other posts.
