So, this Sunday is a big day/night, weather permitting. David (another Maltese member of the board) and myself are filming three scenes from Romeo and Juliet.
The Cast is made of 50 sixth formers ie all around the age of 15 . . . so that is quite a number, and the locations, original 17th Centuary Palace, costumes, SFX and planned VFX are looking promising. It will be a 12 hour shoot from 3 pm to 3 am and we should start with a horse drawn carrage entering the Capulet Mansion Estate in a day for night 4 o'clock light.
All very excited as we now are set with a decent 2 DVX camera setup, boom mike, about 8K of light in total, smoke, fire and a video vilage in the making. If all goes well I think the only point we cant improve on is the level of the students acting. This is their project, we are just taking it to town with the dressing and treatment . . . will keep ypu posted ;D
