DVX quality AJA

When capturing from a dvx 100B camera into a macbook pro or Macpro

Would any of these help with quality

AJA D10CEA

or the

Matrox MXO2


I have used these -

But the above product doesn't allow you to capture to a different format under
than DV


I am thinking if you can come out of the camera into the AJA converter then to a Kona card via SDI if you can capture to a better format than DV, and if so will that help image quality.
