guys, i just started recording a few minutea go and reviewed the footage to see blocks appearing everywhere during playback. I thought it was the tape so i put an older one in and played it back, same thing happened. It started getting chopy and blocks started appearing...

whats going on?

hmm, just found barry's post about cleaning them, strange, i guess thats the problem ( i really hope ) Does that sound like one of the symptoms lol?

now the question is, where is there a panasonic repair center nearby?
i live in montreal, but have no idea where one would be.. or how to find.

try to purchase a cleaning tape. Run it in the cam for about 5 secs and everything should be ok.

HELLLLLO!!!!Do as the man says.get yourself a tape head cleaner and get crackin.Get them wherever you get your dv tapes.also you can use those computer air blower deals and that cleans the crap outta of decks too!

I'm not sure but i hear you should be careful of what kind of tape cleaner you get. I don't really know if those retail tape head cleaners are all that good for the dvx. Something in the back of my head is tellin me i heard that from somewhere.

i wonder if its available through retail stores like futureshop, bestbuy,..... something like that

wal mart huh>? weird.. i guess ill just have to call around and ask for a dv head cleaning tape. hopefully they will know whatim talking about and not just say we dont have it.

alright, so i just called bestbuy, they have a mini dv head cleaning tape but its by JVC. Will this do the trick guys?????
