DVX price going down?

when do you think the DVX price will go down becaue of the HVX...
will they most likely lower the price when the HVX is released in Q4? or lower price before to sell them all to make room for the HVX

looking to buy one this summer!

The DVX will remain a current model. They're not going to clear out any inventory, or make room for the HVX. The DVX and HVX will be sold side-by-side. The HVX's MSRP is 50% higher than the DVX's.

Now, if DVX sales drop, then maybe they'd lower the price, but don't count on it happening automatically.

I *DO* think the price may drop by a hundred dollars or so.....but don't be silly and thing it's going to be a 500 dollar drop or anything crazy like that. It will remain around 3 grand any way you cut it!!

With the rebate, the price has already droped by $300. At least until april 30th. I doubt they will lower it any more then that.

DVX retails for $3999, so that means HVX will retail around $5999? And B&H will likely offer it around $5499?

sadly, rebate only applies to US :(

if I buy from EVS, can I still use the rebate?

u need a US address for the rebate,

it needs to be a US unit also, and I think EVS sells US only

EVS $5299
buydig $4799
beach and royal camera $2500
digital liquidators $1500

great!!!! I can save some dough

Just wanted to tell new users that Unix is a very loyal customer, but those are not straight up prices for the HVX200 from EVS

We still don't have pricing for the camera from Panasonic.

Sorry Reservoir, but hopefully soon.

if the HVX is as good as it sounds it may put attention to the DVX by users who simply ignored Panasonic lately (Canon or SONY fans). I remeber buying the VX1000 for about euro 2500 in 1997 and suddenly it costed about 3000 in 1998 for a while.....so the DVX my sell like crazy soon due to the new "hype" about Panasonic cams......
