DVX PAL vs DVX NTSC

Hello folks,

Even though I know that the PAL camera has got more lines of resolution, sometimes I think that the 24P version has got better looking images. Is it just me or other people have noticed this as well?

I don't know what I am doing wrong with my camera, but I can't seem to get the results of some footage I have seen here.

What am I doing wrong? Oh, probably the lighting because I am crap at it.

you won't find answers to your frustrations looking at this subject matter (PAL vs NTSC).
24P looks just like 25P. the one frame more or less is unnoticeable (well.. not to me)
this camera will produce sufficient quality out of the box. the good stuff though, will take some more investment (i.e. lighting, composition, operating, color correction etc..)

in other words, congratulations, you have just the right camera! ;)

Hi Shai,

I am happy with the camera, but I haven't been able to emulate some of the looks I have seen in the forum.
But like you said, it takes more to achieve the look.

I will continue practicing.
