DVX Mini35?

Hey everyone,
Hope all is well. I have a question that I believe is going to end up just a matter of opinion but, I'm hoping the more experienced folks will step up.

I'm getting ready to start shooting a feature and I want to shoot it with the DVX (my last short I shot on an HD Vericam) and to give you some in-site on what my plans are, I want to show it at the local theaters and then get a distributer so it will probably end up on DVD.

So here's my dilemma, as I said I want to shot it on the DVX w/ the Mini35 what a great look right, however my understanding is that the Anamorphic lens from Panny will not fit and the Anamorphic lens that you can get w/ the Mini35 are supposed to be a pain in the @ss.

So I guess my question really is this if I don't use the Anamorphic lens at all is the 16X9 squeezed really that bad on the rez? Or would I be better of using the Panny lens and forget the Mini35 which I kinda don't want to do. I think the look of the Mini35 is great and I would like to use it I'm just wondering about the end result.

If I do try to get a distributer than I'll have to show it to them and most people now like watching the 16x9 don't they? Or am I just crazy?

All help is greatly appreciated :)
PS. one last thing I am not the DP I haven't found one yet so for those of you that where going to ask NO, I do not have any 35mm experience...

If you look in the "Technical" Section you'll find numerous threads about the Mini35 and Anamorphic lenses. Post your question there and you might get more responses. Good luck on your film, M.D. Post some clips when you start shooting.
