The recent thread inquiring about directors on the site combing for talent or whatever, got me thinking ... what are some of the proud accomplishments of the regular members? What specific projects or articles have you seen through this board, the monthly contests, screen grabs, etc) that you admire and have really gained something from?

A couple that stand out for me as really cool or helpful are any of the the nature films by Pine Lake Films, a horror short by Norm Li, and the many technical articles by Jarred & Barry.

:dankk2:

JHouser - Monterey vacation footage
Macgregor - Similo
Kaz - We Are Not Alone
Jack Stanley - Shed, Odd Squad, Rekindled
Spidey - CPU
Badlaa - Untitled post nuclear short
Moe - Hunted trailer
Firre - Stadium
Rich Lee - Just Like you music video
Cheezweezl - Imogen Heap music video
Curugon - Ancanar trailers, Triage, Texas Fortune

All shot on the dvx, as far as I know. These are just off the top off my head as far as favorites go. I'm sure there are many more that I'm forgetting...Anyone care to add to the list?

most recently, paul coleman and his 'the starlit ritual'. on the surface, some might dismiss it as an exercise in "shock value". but few things shock me and I saw an original work of dark, meditative art. it bolstered my confidence to pursue the more lyrical, fluid and poetic in my own work.

Two Emmy's in two years, and the time I shot the woman across the courtyard getting out of the shower. Once in a lifetime--- and I got it! :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Just got an email from Randy Rajewski asking me if I had any information on the shooting death of a woman found nude and damp.
