DVX gets much attention

Went down to the beach on New Years Day to visit with mom, took my new 100a out to the boardwalk on a black Bogen monopod just to try some shots and play around. No fewer than 4 people asked me what kind of camera it was, and 2 of them asked what channel I was with. Absolutley amazing to me. I've stood out there before with a GL1 and gotten nary a look from people walking by, but the 100a pulls attention like a magnet (and god knows I love attention, which is why I love EFP type work, it makes me the center of attention)

Well, I just put the camera in 24P, and letterboxed it just for kicks, and then went home and plugged it into the TV to see what I got. Showed it to a few people and they loved the look, said it reminded them of a movie, and that is was easier to look at, and made rather mundane footage look lush. Said it wasn't so "harsh" as regular video. I am going to have some fun with this camera when I'm not working with it.

* Okay okay, the last one is bullshit.
