Okay, it was sugguested in the last post that I do something for DVXuser.com members so they can get the DVD for cheaper. So here's the deal. My paypal address is nmasters(nospam)@themacisp.net (obviously take the "nospam" out). I'll sell any DVXuser member the DVD for $10 ppd. So that's $10 including postage. This will only be until the 31st. On the 1st I'll send them all out so how's that for a deal? Hey, I'll sign them just for kicks. ::)

Nate,

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but know one is going to buy your DVD. This forum is about sharing clips and grabs of DVX footage. Why would they buy your movie if they can see hundreds of free clips right here for free?

It may take a long time before some of us make real money with our films, but until you get a distribution deal or see your self at the box office, I would recommend sharing your film here so you can get plenty of feedback on it. This way you can progress your skills and make better films.

Man, I'd be more than happy to buy one and I appreciate the lower price. If you can't afford ten bucks to watch the DVX in action or support indie filmmakers you got problems.

Not if you've spent all of your money on stuff for your own DVX   ;)

Nathyn, do you have a teaser clip that you can show on this board? That will give people an incentive to buy it.

I agree; buying one of 'our' DVD's is great community support and a way to see the DVX in action. No one should feel pressured into buying just in fiat but if someone is interested why not?

If I could, I would sell my DVD, I have one made up of all of my stuff but the problem is that almost all of the music on it is copyrighted ::)

Thank you guys. I should say I don't want to pressure anyone into buying, I just want those who want to buy to know it's there and they can buy if they want to at a lower price if they're forum member.

Yes, check  out the site itself www.the4thbeast.com and click on "trailers". The last two are the best. Also they're the ones DVXUSER members helped me to make.

I know it's not John Woo but it's some good stuff and a it wa s a learning process. You can see what went right and what went wrong. I talk about everything in the audio commentary. I just wanted to show that it could be done. My next project will surely have to have a bigger budget though because it's HK action style. Hopefully we'll get listed in the Hollywood Reporter.

And to those who've already bought one thanks for your support. I will be sending them to you at the end of the month. And anything I shoot on the DVX100 I'll offer you guys a good deal if I can.

Interesting subject and good trailer scenes. looking forward to receiveing the dvd and seeing the whole film and your audio commentary. I know I can download tons of great clips and sample movies on dvxuser.com for free. Yours seems to be a worldwide subject with another interpretation and/or point of view. Hopefully I'm not repeating the question but how many dvx100's were actually used during the production? What program was used for final editing? Maybe you can offer the "extras" of commentaries and interviews for all dvxuser.com forum members. That, with the trailer of the movie may perk more interest. I know I would like to see all the "extras" that were shot with the dvx100's, including the subject matter!

Rick, actually we only used one DVX and we cut with Final Cut Pro 4.0 on a 1 Gig Mac G4. All the trailers were shot with the DVX100 and edited the same as the movie. The only big extra we have now is the audio commentary and the photo slideshow. On the Master Edition we plan to have some more stuff. Basically I plan to pack all I can on to a 4.7 DVD.

See, I told you nate, don't let some online company steel all your funds, you can sell plenty on this site alone, and have 90% profit instead of getting whats left over. Good for you, and I'll be emailing you with my order.

Thank you Scharky, but the webstore is so I can have a worldwide gateway and they have a staff that can fill major orders if they come in. I don't have a multiburner or anything like that nor can I package it as professionaly as they can cost effectively. Frankly if I sale a certain amount through them the money is actually pretty decent. About 60/40 which is standard.

A lot of people are checking out the webstore (about 110 viewing so far). When the site becomes more popular I'll get more orders. I just dropped a press release that's getting some pretty good reads so we'll see what happens. I'm not expecting this to make me rich but at least it's done and out.

Next time I really want a budget, even if it's just $5000. Money gives you more control over the project, know what I mean. People are more responsive when paid obviously and you can get more done. When the master edition is done I plan to do some advertising if I can.

Heads up guys. I have to go to the post office tomorrow so I plan to send the copies I have orders for out then. But I still plan to continue this deal until the 31st for those who're interested.
