how will the dvx handle three construction lights? Two on one stand and one distand eyelight. Just wondering, I have a music video shoot soon. I will be running completely manuel, I am just wondering how the image will look.

Three construction lights, that's a lot of non-controllable, uneven light...

Don't use them directly on your actors, at least put some tough spun or similar fireproof diffusion material on the lamps, or better bounce them off of walls or reflectors, or backlight a big piece of white cloth with them. In that case (reflector/"softbox") however you're gonna have a lot of soft light which spills everywhere. Better than the deer-in-headlight look if you use the worklights directly.
You'll have to be creative with flagging the light, no matter if you use them directly or bounced.

Yeah try the bounce card sugestion. I hope that you can turn them on seperately. I have used work lights for many of the projects that I have work on. I even added barndoors on some of them. Although these lights are not actual production lights they will work fine as long as you do all you can to control the spill. buy as many pieces of large white foamcore, preferably 4-6' square pieces, this will providea huge light source to get that soft light you will need. And get as many pieces black matte board as you can afford, these can help you to control the excess light spill.

If You need to bring the levels up overall in the room you can always point your lights to the ceiling (if it is white or some light color that reflects light pretty easily) and that will bring the levels up pretty well but keep in mind that the lighting will be pretty flat if you do this. But it works great in a quick situation where you need to bring them up.
