DVX 100b has no interval mode

I love the DVX 100b but would like to use time lapse elements for some projects. I lament the absence of this feature on the 100b. Can anyone suggest an affordable external intervalometer solution to use besides DV Bank to trigger the 100b on a repeatable time schedule. I know I can purchase a used 100a but I hope not to spned that kind of money for an occassional use feature.

Thanks

Short answer, get a Dslr, and use that. Your results will be better, and you can actually record one frame at a time, not 15 like the dvx does.

Just record continuously and then speed things up in post to get your time lapse. You'll get great results.

Why would panasonic remove a feature that's already implemented in the camera? That's kinda shizzy of em...

They changed the tape mechanism to a sturdier one which doesn't support that feature.
