DVX-100A / 24p Audio in FCP

Ok, so I captured footage (capture now) into a 29.98 FPS timeline w/ 48kbps audio stream into FCP. I'm new to 24p and FCP. I've found lots of different answers to the question, but none seem to make sense... ?

When looking at the clips on tape the audio and image match, but once captured, they lag behind. (the further into the tape I get, the further off the audio gets)

What setting am I missing, or step am I skipping? Thanks in advance. (If this has been answered before, please send the link, I tried to search, but ... no luck!)

Noah,

I've seen similiar info, but I didn't film in 24pA . I filmed in plain 24p and from my understanding I need to capture 24p at 29.97 FPS? (I'm still a rookie and had trouble deciding between 24p and 24pA?) At any rate I've got footage from past projects at 24p that I need to capture w/o audio lag and can evaluate 24pA going forward?

Noah,

I've read this post a few times. I'm still a little confused about which actual setting to use in FCP.

So are you saying to just capture 29.97 using the DV NTSC 48Khz in capture settings. Then remove the pulldown using something like Cinema tools or the remove advanced pulldown under tools?

This is what i've been doing.
When I pull up the audio/video settings, I select "DV NTSC 48KHz ADVANCED (2:3:3:3) Pulldown REMOVAL" This is incorrect?

thanks
