DvRigPro

Well I was wondering where's a great place to buy and do you think if I order today it'll be here by Sunday? I had somebody offer me a DVRigPro deal, but I didn't jump on it.

Try either varizoom.com or evsonline.com

I don't think B&H is carrying the DVRig Pro anymore.

if you go with EVS (highly recommended), then it;s better if you call your order in, as you can get it through quicker.

I agree with next day air it, if you need it by Sunday.

PS.: It's a great unit. i load mine up with everything PAGC6 light and battery (battery on back of rig), wireless mic, shotgun mic, LANC remote on handle, and I'm good to go all day long. I also have teh tripod adapter so I can mount the entire rig on a tripod at a moments notice and keep on shooting. I use mine this past weekend again for a 10 hour shoot, and the only thing hurting on me was my feet!

Sorry Danny, the last time I checked B&H didn't have any DVRig Pros listed online.
But they seem to have them now...

I am also wondering about the PAG Orbiter. Does anyone have any reviews or feedback? I want to know a little about both products and what is the best before I start"dropping mad dimes." :)

I can't speak first hand on the PAG Orbitor, but I do know that PAG use to be a distributer of the DVRig Pro, and it looks like to me, that they essentially stole the design and made a few modifications to it.

The only major difference to me seems to be the fact that theOrbitor can pan left and right. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing as far as basic stability to the rig goes.

On the Pag site:

http://www.pagusa.com/orbitor.htm

about 2-3 pages into their description of the PAG Orbiter, they claim this goes back to something they developed in 1998 and demonstrated at a show. It makes you wonder who borrowed the idea from whom.

I'd like to know about any advantages or disadvantages of the Orbiter relative to the DVRig Pro.
