? your question is strange.. The DV rig pro is a shoulder mount. The question should be.. Is it ok to take my DVX or whatever camera your using in the rain.. The answer would be NO!.. Not unless you have a slicker for it...

The question is not strange. Of course I have a Kata rain cover for my camera. I just didnt want parts on the DVrig to rust out from being in continuous rain if in fact its a steady rain.

I don't think it's a strange question either ??? Maybe I'm missing something...I'd wrap the handles and shoulder cushion in plastic if I were to use it out in the rain though. And as soon as possible dry it off and maybe spray it with WD-40 or Liquid Wrench.
