DVRig Pro....Good?

I am looking at getting a DVrig Pro for a specific shoot coming up.
I wanted to know if people are happy with it and the footage from it, and what its limitations are....is it stable for walking, etc.

I am shooting a fashion show coming up and doing lots of run and gun...would this be the trick?

Thanx

Re: DVRig Pro....Good?

As long as you don't gun ON the run - you'll be fine. Walking - you need to be smoooooth - the results are like filming with a big shoulder-mount cam - a gentle, stable cinema-verite wobble but in a good way. Make sure you set some time aside to practise before the shoot then you won't be disappointed. Apart from that - you'll look the biz and you'll be able to shoot all day.

Re: DVRig Pro....Good?

For me the DVRIGPRO is the best "compromise". In the good sense of this term.

The best set up is a shoulder camera, a heavy tripod, a true
full size Steadicam and an assistant...

With the DVRIGPRO and the DVX-100 I can shoot continually for unlimited time, No fatique. I can hold a steady shoot, Almost like tripod. I can change shooting angles and camera positions very fast and as much as I want. Walking shoots are not steadicam like but shoulder camera like, Which is what I need. Learning curve, Very short and the rig is intuitive and simple.

Added benefits, very useful for low angle shoots and waist shoots.
