If you are on of those people like me who want to save money on dolly's, steady cams, and cranes, then you might want to check out this website:

www.dvmoves.com

Anyone here ever used or bought from this website? I just stumbled across this through google while trying to find sites on filmmaking. I found it through 'RonDexter.com' Its got wealth of knowledge on the film industry.

Re: dvmoves.com

those wheel kits are also not a bad looking thing.

Re: dvmoves.com

The crane seems to be pretty good for its price. If you watched to demo video it gives you a feel for what it can do and what kind of results you'll get. I think that I may consider it.

Re: dvmoves.com

It's a really cool crane but like all of the stuff you would need to get cool shots it's expensive as hell. At least for me.

Re: dvmoves.com

I built their 16 wheel kit for under $50 - For $250, I'd expect triangle iron so the wheels housings would be more sturdy for curved track.. even then, I built an aluminum dolly using diamond plate for $150 including paying someone to weld it.

Cranes look nice.

as for all the tips and tricks. Great site.
