DVI to HDMI cable

I am in the process of planning the layout for my home theater and I want to be able to hook my laptop up to the projector from time to time. I just want to make sure that I can come out of my Macbook Pro via DVI to HDMI on the projector. I can do that right or do I need DVI to VGA cable?

Hi. I do it with my MBP no problem. Its also a great setup for home theatre with front view and the little remote. For some reason when playing dvds i can get a better picture out of my MBP running it to my TV, than playing it on a normal conventional dvd player.

So which cable do you use? DVI to HDMI or VGA since the projector has an abundance of inputs.

if it has a HDMI input, i would go for the DVI to HDMI cable simply because you can then plug your MBP into a HD ready to if you ever need to.

I picked up a DVI to HDMI adapter at Circuit City and it works beautifully.

DVI to HDMI, you won't get audio. The video is the same on both outputs, but HDMI also carries audio.
