DVFilm Raylight Expired?

I bought Raylight, and love the program, but today, it just stopped working. I had been getting error messages warning me that it was going to expire, and, I guess it did on March 1st, 2009. Weird. I'm having to run my ADR session with a quicktime file that I rendered. I can't see my .mxf's at all. I emailed DVFILM, hopefully they will tell me something soon.

Yeah, it just expired for me too -- and right in the middle of a project that's due today.

Thanks DVFilm!

Problem with Raylight Fixed!

I sent an email to DVFilm Raylight support. They had me download a new version of the software, and now I'm back up and running. It's a free download, email them. Thanks DVFilm!

Unfortunately I'm overseas so it's not so easy for me. However they're sorting things out for me so I'm sure we'll get it fixed. However in the meantime I just set my clock back whenever I edit!

Same thing happened here. I upgraded to Ultra, seems to work well. There is a great new "Slate" feature that takes the xml data from the clip and displays it on the first or second frame of the video (your choice). I think you are also supposed to be able to see or use other metadata as well, but haven't played with it as yet. For the cheap upgrade price, well worth it.

Which version of Raylight were you guys running? I'm still on 3.01, and it hasn't expired. I had planned on grabbing the newest Raylight, but won't bother if it will expire sometime down the line.

I'd like to upgrade to Ultra, but have no interest if they've implemented expiration dates to force you to upgrade to new versions (even if bugfix updates are free).

My politics about product activation and the like aside, I run Windows 2000 -- which isn't officially supported by Raylight. So if they ever make a change in a bugfix update that makes it only work on XP or above, I'll basically lose access to all of my footage once the old version expires.

Now, if Raylight could just upgrade to 64bit, I'd be a happy camper. Editing on XP32, I'm so limited on memory.
