Dvfilm in Express HD?

Yes and no. It'll work to do what it does, but FCE won't work with DVCPRO-HD. You have to install FCP in order to get the DVCPRO-HD Quicktime components.

Ok , But what if you just film in dv & 60i ?
I just want my 60i video from my dvx to look like 24p , because express HD won't edit 24p.

Any help?

Well, just edit it as-is. Shoot in 24P mode, import the footage, and cut it on a 60i timeline. It'll retain its film look.

Well, yes, but I think you don't have a problem.

If you want to convert 60i to look like 24p, you could use DVFilm's Maker software to do that.

But why bother? Just put your DVX in 24P mode, get genuine 24P, and edit in FCE anyway. It's recorded in a 60i data stream, with the film look, so just shoot 24P in the first place. FCE will edit it just fine.

Thats what I have been doing , but I have not been so impressed with soe of th results , It usually comes out with too much shudder.
Any Ideas?

If you want your footage to look like 24p, yet edit it on a 60i timeline, the proper way is to shoot 24P mode.

If you don't like the stutter, then you need to work towards shooting the footage in a way that minimizes it. There is no cheap fix, there is no workaround.
