Hi all. I'm at the begining of shooting a feature lenght political documentary. We will have multiple interviewees in several locations. I'l looking for a decent lighting kit to get started with ( this will be my first serious work with lights).
I found that the DVeStore DVCreator Kit No:1 ( http://dvcreators.net/lowel-dvcreators-light-kits ) looks like it will satisfy most of my needs. What do people here think of this kit. Is there anythnig else I should invest in to go with this setup? I know from reading some of the other posts that some don't recommend getting all your equipment from the one manufactor but it does seem like a much more hassle free affair.

Also, do these lights come with switchable voltages ( I'm in 240V Ireland) or will I need to find adapters.

Thanks in advance

Declan

If you're SERIOUSLY going to do this, spend a little more and get the kit outlined in this video:

Its around $1500.00, but it is lightweight, easy to travel with, and contains NOTHING extra that you don't need, because you buy everything from scratch.

a lot of lights can work on different voltages - it's the bulb that matters. the fixtures dont offere anything in the way of a power supply .. they just run wahtever you stick into them to the bulb (at least for tungsten)
