DVDs the right way...

Hey guys,

I am currently making a movie called The Times of Change and it will most likely be about 1 hour and 15 mintues long. It will be shot with a DVX100B at 24 frames per second and edited in Sony Vegas 7. I will be using a DVD replication service and they require that I have a master. So I wanted to know how exactly I should create a DVD using Sony Vegas 7 with 24 fps. I have seen some stuff on this website, but I am still confused.

Thanks!

Are you using DVD Architect?

If so, when you're finished with your project, render it using MPEG-2 and the DVD Architect 24p preset. (Widescreen if it's a Widescreen project.) Don't change anything in the template.

Then, render the audio using AC-3. Name it the same as the MPG. But make sure you start the render on the same frame. Best result is to use a loop region and render both using the same one.

Then, open up a project in DVD Architect -- make it Widescreen if appropriate -- and drop your MPG file into it. DVDA will match up the audio with the video.
