DVDA slideshow - fading between

I've been racking my brains to produce a slideshow on Architect 3.0 in which the photos dissolve into one another rather than a straight cut.
I could have sworn I've managed to do this before but can't find the dissolve button! Any advice much appreciated! Thanks.

Don't think you can do that. (Not even in DVDA4 which I was hoping for.) If you want cross-fades/dissolves you'll need to do that in Vegas.

Why dont you lay all the pics out on the Vegas Timeline. Its very easy if you go into the preferences panel, you can choose a default duration time for all imported images. Now just drag all your pics onto the timeline and they would all default to the time you selected as i mentioned above. Now render out to one of the dvd architect templates. Make sure any underlying soundtrack that you laid out in the timeline is also rendered by ensuring that the include audio checkbox is ticked under the customise panel of the dvda template. I think you can even choose a default crossfade time for all pics imported but i forgot which button and how. Set Default cross fade or something like that. Since im not on my workstation i can tell you the exact one. But it can be done. This is your easiest way out.

Thanks, I considered Vegas but not your way, only the long-winded time consuming manual way! It seems like such a simple thing, and I was so sure I'd managed it before!
Cheers again!
