dvda recognizing external burner ?

[yellowdog]

hello,
wondering why my vegas 5 dvda 2 is not finding my external sony dvd burner. It automatically finds the internal burner in my computer.I shouldnt say not finding the external burner, actually when I go to burn a disc, the only option is my internal burner. Am I missing a setting? Thanks.
