DVD with data contents as well

For my latest short I am planning on releasing it on DVD and would like to include an ipod formatted quicktime of the film on the disc. What is the best way to have content for the computer like that on the same disc as a video DVD?

You're talking about DVD-ROM data. DVD Studio Pro and Adobe Encore allow the discs to be formatted with DVD-ROM data. The only caveat is that accessing the data is a manual process. The user needs to navigate the directory of the disc to pull off the file(s).

You might look into eDVD, it's gives you access to PDF's, web sites and all sorts of other data. However, an eDVD disc will install InterActual player on the users computer. I'm not a fan of asking the customer to install software on their machine so they can view the content. I don't use eDVD, just letting you know what's out there.
