DVD to FCP Issues

I'm trying to get footage from some DVDs via Streamclip and Handbrake. Both are moving insanely slowly, requiring three hours for a 12 min DVD. Can anyone walk me through this. Settings, how-to, etc. I am trying to put them into a project that was shot HDV 24f on my A1. Huge thxx.

Rip with Mac the Ripper (or the like), open the VOBs in MPEGstreamclip and export to DV.

You dont have to use mac the ripper. MpegStreamclip will rip straight from dvd to any format you need.

How long should this process take? So far, It seems very slow. What should I expect a 5 min dvd to take? an hour? two? and what settings do you recommend if it's going into an HDV 24f project? huge thxx.

Tell us the specs of your machine, that may be your problem. I don't believe that Streamclip will convert your VOB files to HDV, the best you can get is DV.
