ok guys... what is the correct way to import into dvd studio

can i render out of after effect and send to dvd studio...or do I have to go back into fcp and then render it out then send it to dvd studio

From AE, render uncompressed
and import directly to DVDSP.

Only use FCP if you want to add markers (compression, chapter, audio) more conveniently.

thanks mador43....are you saying is better to go uncompressed from ae to dvd studio rite....and what about animation?

your animation should be a movie file and dvd studio pro will work with it just fine.

if you want to squeeze just a little bit more out of your image, you can use compressor to compress your file in to dvd-ready mpeg2 & audio, then drag both in to dvd studio pro. compressor's quality seems (IMO) to be a little bit higher quality that dsp's compression quality.

The better the source, the better the mpeg2 file. So output uncompressed from AE (or Animation: quality = 100).

And Mr Wrong is right: you can batch export in MPEG2 with compressor.

If you use pre-compressed mpeg2 file in DVDSP, it will speed up your workflow and building time…
