DVD studio pro burning issue

Hello,
After checking in the simulator that my project was formatted to my needs I clicked on the Burn button to burn a DVD:
Nothing moved and I got the following message: Formatting successful, formatting finished, with a note at the top saying : Alert . I also have the option to choose OK.
If after clicking on OK I try the Burn button again, it keeps saying the same thing and nothing move.
Can anybody help?
 
Got to file and try going to advanced burn and click on Build and format. If this doesn't work just go to build and this will build you a Video_TS file. Save it somewhere, where you can find it. Then you can check the DVD before burning on your DVD player. File, open, Video_ts file. If this works fine and dandy then you can burn your DVD on Toast. That's only if your build and format option doesn't work.
 
Mixedclimber, thank you for your answer.
Following your instructions I could Build/Format and create a Video-TS file but when I tried to burn it after I dragged it into the toaster, the drawer of the DVD burner would not even open up to receive a DVD. I opened the drawer manually and inserted a DVD but nothing would move. So I still can’t burn anything.
Any suggestions?
 
Are you using Toast or DVD Studio?
If in studio try to do a format after build. It should open the dvd door and request a blank dvd.
 
Thank you Scott but I tried to burn with Toast again like the other times, before I got your message, and I realized that I had chosen, in the Toast window, the wrong denomination for the type of DVD I was using. So now everything works well, except that the fact that I cannot use Studio Pro to burn a DVD remains a mystery to me.
