Hi Everyone,

I was recently browsing a bridal website that offers wedding videography for couples & in their notes it mentions :

Notes:
* all medias are in PAL system & set to "ALL REGIONS"
* special reguests on editing should be confirmed before shooting. Additional charge of will be incurred if charges are made after the final output is produced.

I use Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to burn my videos to DVD & I know how to set the video to render either as PAL DVD, or NTSC DVD, but how do you render a DVD that can play in all regions? As this website mentions, can you make a DVD play in both PAL land & NTSC land? Does Adobe Premiere Pro have this feature? Thank you in advance.

Andrew

Okay, there's a few things going on: PAL/NTSC is not the same thing as REGIONS.
The software you speak of, Premiere, can render to either PAL or NTSC. Then you burn a project onto a DVD. Any "homemade" DVD is region free.
So, technically, an NTSC DVD will play everywhere. HOWEVER, some DVD players (especially in USA) will look at the DVD's video, and if it's PAL will display: "Wrong Region" even though it is NOT a region problem but a format (PAL/NTSC) one.
So, choose either PAL or NTSC, depending on which country you intend to distribute to, and forget about all the region stuff.
