This may not be new news, but for those who do not know, Nokia have up the game with this model :

Nokia N93

The reason I made this post was because it is the one of the first Cell phone that records video of such high quality (720*576) 30FPS !! auto white balance 3x optical zoom and image stabilization (oh lets net forget the 3.2MP camera)

Dont forget that these are PROGRESSIVE frames.

DOWNLOAD THE VIDEO CLIPS (RECORDED FROM THE PHONE):

Now all just waiting untill cell phones can record video in HD (and thats not even funny because, I bet your hat that they are creating it as we speak)

Heilig SheissZeiss optics? Wtf. And its running pda style. I know what phone I'm upgrading to in July. Happy Birthday to me.Thanks for that awesome link. I'm in the grocery store right now and the video links aren't woeking on my Cingular 8125 but I will check it out when I get home.Swweeeet.

I still don't get why anyone wants all that crap in their phones.

Sure, convergence, yadda yadda. But a universal truth is that a jack of all trades is a master of none.

If it runs windows mobile, I want it. The camera is just extra fun stuff. xD

And by the by... here's the full version of that nifty quote:

"Jack of all trades, master of none, though ofttimes better than master of one

I dunno, looks pretty nice. Thing is, I have a dedicated digital still camera, a dedicated video camera, a dedicated portable computer, etc... but the only thing I ever carry with me is my phone. So to have *something* on hand is better than not having it... I wouldn't expect it to be a master of any trades, but at least it'd be handy!

I guess I just figure that the camera that you have with you is probably better than the one you don't, when it comes time to wishing you had a camera with you.

Yeah, I'm still getting an HVX. But I think it's nifty/neato. I still can't seem to find info on whether or not it runs Windows Mobile.

By the by, if it seems I took offense to the Jack of all Trades thing, I get a teeny tiny sour about the misquoted phrase. Sometimes, we "Jacks" find it hard to sit in one place... and it's a bit more stressful than many people know. I guess when I'm older it'll get better?

Just found this:

fitting 45 mins of video on a 1GB card, or 90 mins on a 2GB card, comparable to the capacity of a standalone tape-based camcorder. With the optics involved, with the 'digital video stabilization', with the resolution and frame rate, the N93 is going to be absolute first choice for any self respecting journalist or mobile professional with a need to shoot video quickly and easily

Think of the possibities of capturing chance events! this has already been demonstarted before when news channels have asked viewers to send in Mobile video because no other camera people was around.

Think about it with the introduction of home "camcorders" many great moments of history was recorded (assasination of Kenddy ok it was cine camera but still a portable home "camcorder").

With something this small and that you would probably carry around with you all the time, the likely hood of capturing a chance event is much, much higher, and finally something that is good enough to watch on TV witout it looking like a tiny jerky pixelated and blocky and way over compressed webcam clips.

After watching the clips you will you see that "mobile video" has indeed got a whole lot better.

Ok, this is going to make you smile!

Since it's on the All About Symbian website, does that not imply it's using the Symbian OS?

The still shots are amazing. Not so impressed with the video. Though I guess it would be better than nothing.

One or two more generations improvement should make some really impressive stuff.
