Re: Dvd-R authoring media?

I've had great success with Maxell, Memorex, Sony and TDK. No coasters with any of those so far.

Thanks for the replys. I will let Bigstein know. He had to go to work so he can buy some more DVDs. ;D

Re: Dvd-R authoring media?

Burner has big the biggest issue for me above DVD type. I use DVD Architect from Sony and it's a pretty picky program. Memorex 8x and 16x seems to be a very compatible burner.

2 things, the drive really matters.

i only use plextor.

also, there is a mailorder place that is traditionally wholesale but they will do smaller amounts.

www.mediasupply.com

been using them since i used to buy floppies in huge quantities.

1) Burn DVDs at a slower speed. (2x vs. 4x)
2) Don't mutli-task. Using other applications while burning DVDs can result in bad disks.
3) Buy DVD sample packs

Check out the following for blank media:

I'm extremely satisfied with my shopping experience with both of these companies. I received email confirmations after placing my order and then once my order was shipped. Make sure to check out their sample packs, this is a very cost effective way to try out different media to make sure it's compatible with your burner /player.
