Hey everybody,

Yet again I am hoping for you expertise :-)

I have created a DVD menu in DVD Studio Pro that has a link to a film and a link to an email address. Now I have to put this menu with the links on an usb stick and it has to autorun when it's put in the usb port of the computer.

Is this possible and if yes what's the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Niels

So I heard it is not possible to do this in DVD Studio Pro, does everybody know good software for the MAC to do this?

The last time I did this it was not possible to make a Volume autorun on a Mac. Apple looks at this as a security feature. You might be able to create it on a Mac but I used a PC and it was on an Audio CD. The concept, however, should be the same. The issue you run into is making an autorun that will be recognized by all PC's and even Macs (you have to double click the index.html to get it to work on Mac). I recommend using HTML. On the disc I did I even gave an option to view the content via the a live website. This gave us the option to update content. If the user did not have a connection they could view the content on the disc. If you have Adobe Encore you can create great Flash versions of your DVD and you can even do HD.

If you find a Mac Solution let me know. I have an old PC that could be retired if there is a Mac option.

Thanks for that kgimedia! I got on another forum a good advice, maybe something u can use too:

There are quite a few ways to do this but not with a DVD.

If you want a nice menu with animations and the like (as in a DVD style menu) you'd be best off creating the menu in Flash and then your autorun would run a flash exe file and go full screen. The you could have the look and feel of a DVD menu. Another way to do it is to put a portable browser on the stick (Autorun DVD/USB stick for both OSX and Windows with portable Chrome or Safari - Tech Support Guy Forums) and have the autorun launch a website which could have multimedia elements.

You can create a an atorun which works on Mac and PC.
