This is my rough cut for a DVD project I am working. It just alittle part of the intro. Please let me know what you think. I really respect everyone's opinions here. Thank you for your time.

The visuals are good. I like the effects. How many fpm did you use on the time lapse?

Is that the first play of the DVD? Because I always go by the rule of thumb that it shouldn't be longer than 10 seconds. If you watch the DVD more than once, it just gets irritating. Especially if you don't allow the skip button.

Re: DVD - Intro - Comments please

That's pretty good. The one thing I didn't like was all the faux film scratches--maybe a few occasional ones would be fine.

Re: DVD - Intro - Comments please

Loved it. Nicely done and very professional. I too would minimize (even get rid of) the scratched film although the SEPIA works great.

I thin kthe title in the end (St Michaels) should FADE IN:

UP and to the LEFT somewhat for more balance in the frame.

IMHO

Nice intro. I agree with the previous comments about removing the scratches. The sepia gives it the feel I believe you are looking for.

Re: DVD - Intro - Comments please

Thanks for the comments.

I got rid of the sratched film look but just kept everything else. Do you think that would be good? Also...John, Did you see the NEW edit for MDfilms with the girl.

I think in removing the scratches it is great. (Still like to see the TITLE moved :D ;D ) Of course thats is my OWN perspective.

I also responded in the REEDIT thread.!

Re: DVD - Intro - Comments please

What did you use? After Effects? I like the light effects and blur type things esp with the rose window.

Look again at the edit from the wheat rolls to the horse... was that too quick? Almost looked like not enough horse media. Maybe was the compression acting up.
